サンタバーバラに根を持つ「Wilderness Surfboards」は 1966年に誕生し、ショートボード革命の最前線へと道を切り開くシェイプを世に出しました。オーナーの Bob Duncan は、シングルフィンでも、サイドバイトとの組み合わせでも、スタビー系のデザインやファンシェイプに理想的に寄り添うものとして「Wilderness Flex」を設計しました。

It was designed by Bob Duncan to be the perfect complement to stubby-style designs and fun shapes — the swept tip and slight flex create the drive needed to link the long sections found in point waves.
Put this on a stubby or fun shape for point waves and down-the-line speed — the rake and flex carry you through dead spots so you can connect sections and lay into a drawn-out turn at the end. It's built for trim-and-flow point surfing rather than tight pocket work; if you'd rather have a more upright, neutral all-around single, go with the YU Spring Arch.
