Renny Yater のピボットフィンを、三つの高さで。立ち気味で、深さがあり、テールを固定するために描かれたアウトラインです。
ピボットフィンはロングボードフィンの中でも立ち気味の側にあり、レイクが小さく、面積の多くが後方に流れるのではなくボードの真下に収まります。そのためボードは、弧を描いて離れていくのではなくフィンを軸に回ります。Yater のものはそのテンプレートのクラシックな形で、リリースよりホールド、ルースさより落ち着きに寄っています。ソリッドファイバーグラス製で、グロスとポリッシュ仕上げ。サイズは 8"、8.5"、9" です。
どう感じられるか
ノーズライドをまとめ上げるのは、深さと立ったトレーリングエッジです。前に歩いていく間もテールは固定されたままで、ターンは弧を描くのではなく、定まった一点を軸にボードを押し回すことで生まれます。一方で、レイクの大きいフィンのようにダウン・ザ・ラインへ伸びていくことはなく、テールを滑らせることもありません。
どんな方に向くか
ノーズでの時間を目当てに乗るトラディショナルなログ、そしてルースさよりもテールが固定されることを重んじるロングボードに。三つの高さはいずれも同じテンプレートで、深さが増すほどホールドが増します。

A low-rake, high-hold template in the classic Yater mold: the upright profile and generous area plant the tail and hold it down so the nose lifts, and the low rake makes the turn a tight pivot off the tail rather than a sweeping carve.
Our take
Put this on a classic log or noserider when planted hold and tight pivot turns matter more than drive down the line; walk to the nose and the tail stays planted, step back and it pivots around tight. If you want the same nose authority with more rake and drive off the bottom, the Wayne Rich Harmonic '67 is the more driving of the two.
