Ueda の Spring Arch は、彼のラインナップの基準となるテンプレートです。やや立った姿勢にたっぷりとしたカーブを備え、サイズは 7.0" から 8.5"、シングルフィンボックス単体でも、サイドバイトと組み合わせても使えます。
標準的なロングボードボックス用のソリッドファイバーグラス製、カラーはスモーク、四サイズ展開です。Ueda（Y.U）は日本のサーファーであり、ボードビルダー、シェイパーでもあります。Spring Arch は、彼の他のシェイプやフィンテンプレートが照らし合わされる基準となるデザインです。姿勢はやや立っていますが、アウトラインにはしっかりとしたカーブがあり、全体を通して十分な面積を保っています。それが、幅広いボードに合わせても違和感が出にくい理由です。
どう感じられるか
立っていることがピボットを生み、ボードは後ろ足の上でフィンを軸にタイトに回ります。アウトラインを通るカーブが、その動きが弧の終わりで唐突にならないようにします。トリム中もテールを落ち着かせるだけの面積があるため、安定と引き換えに操作性を失うこともありません。サイドバイトを併用するとバランスは粘りのほうへ寄り、掘れた波や大きめのボードでは試す価値があります。
どんな方に向くか
センターボックスを備えた幅広いボードに。ミッドレングス、エッグ、短めのログなどです。サイズは 7.0" から 8.5" までで、フルサイズのログの領域より下を狙っています。ボードを落ち着かせつつターンもする一本を、どちらの極端にも振らずに求める方に向きます。

The staple and baseline of YU's shapes, designs, and fin templates. Fairly upright in stature, but also features a beautiful curve and healthy amount of area throughout.
Our take
Put it on a mid-length or fuller board when you want one versatile, neutral single that does a bit of everything, adding side bites when you want more hold on rail. If you would rather have rake, flex, and drive for point-wave speed and long turns, the Wilderness Flex is the alternative.

The YU Spring Arch is the baseline single fin template from shaper Yoshinori Ueda, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass. The profile is fairly upright with a moderate amount of rake and a healthy amount of area throughout. It is stocked in four sizes, 7 inch, 7.5 inch, 8 inch, and 8.5 inch, and can run as a standalone single or with side bites in a 2+1 setup.
