The Fin

A pair of twin fins measuring 5.30" deep on a 5.27" base, 21.96 sq in of area. The base is nearly as long as the fin is deep, and the outline rakes back to a narrow tip.

How that reads

Base length is where drive comes from, so a twin with this much of it holds a line and makes speed rail to rail rather than washing sideways. The rake and the thin tip are what keep it from feeling locked in: area falls away at the top of the fin, so the tail lets go when you drive off the top instead of tracking through. The combination is a twin that transitions smoothly and still feels lively above the lip.

Who it suits

Performance twins and modern fish with Futures boxes, in surf with enough face to use the drive. If your idea of a twin fin is glide and trim rather than turns off the top, a keel template will suit you better than this one.
