KEVLAR STRETCH is printed across both knees, which in the early 90s was the entire sales pitch — AXO's signature pant of 1991–92 was the 125ST-Kevlar, built for the place where a boot drags up a hot frame rail. This is the sky-blue version: AXO SPORT in purple on both thighs, the wordmark stacked in vertical strips down the outer legs, white lower legs with ribbed cuffs, a purple band across the back, and OFFICIAL AXO SPORT WEAR stamped on the back waistband. The brand earned its way in from the feet up. AXO built boots for Fox and O'Neal before it sold anything under its own name, broke out in 1982 with the Malherbe boot named for the 500cc world champion, and took its name from asso — Italian for ace — with the ss swapped to an x for motocross. AXO Sport America, the US arm Jim Hale founded in 1984, is what put that Italian blue on American start gates.
Vintage AXO Sport motocross pants in sky blue. Purple AXO Sport logos on the thighs, purple knee accents, white lower legs, AXO lettering down the outer legs. 90s AXO.
