Sold as a pair in solid fiberglass, Futures compatible, in smoke. 5.21" deep on a 6.27" base — more base than height, which is keel territory — but the rake is gentle and the profile moderate rather than full, so it never tracks the way a true keel does. Flat foil. It sits between the two classic designs on purpose and borrows from both: the drive and power of a keel, with the manoeuvrability and response of a twin still intact.
How that reads
Base is drive and hold; height is what lets a fin turn. This one is loaded toward the base, so the board grips through a bottom turn in surf with real push and keeps pushing instead of spinning out the back. The moderate profile and gentle rake leave enough response for fast bottom-to-top transitions, which is exactly what a full keel gives away. Underfoot it feels stable and strong rather than skatey.
Who it suits
Wide-tailed fish, retro fish, and any twin that gets too loose once the surf is chest high and over — point breaks and clean walls with power behind them. Heavier surfers, and thruster converts who push hard through a turn and want the fin to stay put while they do it.

The Beamish Twin was designed by Carpinteria shaper Christian Beamish of Surfboards California and is produced by True Ames in solid fiberglass with a raw sanded finish. It comes in one size with a Futures-compatible base, measuring 5.21 inches tall with a 6.27-inch base, and carries 80/20 foils and 5.5 degrees of cant. It was built for Beamish's twin fin boards — round-pin channel bottoms and double-wing swallows — which cluster in the 5'7"–6'2" range.
