The Fin
The Brothers Marshall side bite: small and close to even in proportion at 2.64" deep on a 2.54" base.
Side bites turn a single-fin board into a 2+1: the centre fin still does the steering, and the two small fins add hold through a turn and drive off the bottom. This set is on the small side and nearly square in proportion — depth and base within a tenth of an inch of one another, 5.14 sq in a side — which behaves differently from the long-based side bites cut for drive. Solid fiberglass in smoke, sold as a pair.
How that reads
With this little area either side, the centre fin keeps the board’s character and the side bites act as insurance: something to lean on when the face steepens and the single fin begins to let go. An outline this even tends to hold rather than drive — it does not lengthen the turn so much as stop the tail sliding out of it.
Who it suits
A mid-length or longboard that already works as a single fin and only needs holding together when the surf has some push. If you want the sides doing real work — projecting the board out of the bottom turn — a taller, longer-based set is the better answer.

Run these on a Brothers Marshall 2+1, or any mid-length or log where you want subtle rail grip without losing single-fin glide, with the center fin dropped a size. If you want a big jump in hold and drive, this isn't it -- size up the side bites instead.
