The Campbell Brothers’ upright twin, drawn to go with their A/O twin board — solid fiberglass, Futures compatible.
A modern reading of the traditional upright twin: 5.62" deep on a 5.13" base, 22.07 sq in of area, with a full body and a full tip and a flat foil. Malcolm Campbell designed and refined it; Jacob Campbell did the testing.
How that reads
Depth is what holds the tail in a steep face, and at 5.62" this is a tall twin. Carrying the area right out to the tip keeps that hold working at the top of the turn rather than only at the bottom, so the fin drives hard off the bottom and does not wash out when the wave stands up. The upright outline is what keeps it quick: rail-to-rail changes stay short even with this much fin in the water.
Who it suits
Performance twin-fin boards in solid conditions, ridden by someone who wants to commit to a rail line rather than skate around. In weak surf it is more fin than the wave will load.

Run the Alpha Omega on a performance twin when you want speed, drive, and looseness in balance from an upright template — it's the do-it-all upright twin. If you want planted keel drive and trim, the Beamish is the fit; if you want maximum loose release, the 'I'iwi.

The Alpha Omega Twin is an upright twin-fin template designed by Malcolm Campbell with testing by Jacob Campbell, made by True Ames in Futures-compatible solid fiberglass. The design draws on the fast, flowing twins of the 1970s with a refined balance of base, depth, rake, and foil, carrying a full body and tip. It runs as a standalone twin set on twin-fin boards and performance twin hulls, not as part of a Bonzer cluster.
