A tail pad from Creatures of Leisure cut for fish and alternative shapes, where a standard three-piece pad is too narrow for the tail. The outline is a redrawn 80s shape in a tonal design, built in two pieces from their lightweight EVA formula with the Square-Loc II traction pattern underfoot, a 14mm wedge kick at the back and 3M adhesive backing. Two pieces rather than three means it sits flat across a wide, flat tail instead of bridging it. White.

How it is used

Placed over the tail with the kick against the back foot, on a fish, twin or other wide-tailed board. Clean the wax off, dry the deck and dry-fit both pieces before peeling the 3M backing, then press down and leave it to bond before surfing. The 14mm wedge kick gives the back foot something to push against through turns.
