A front deck pad from Creatures of Leisure, made in their THERMO-LITE foam so it adds very little weight to the nose half of the board. It covers a large area — 405mm (16") long by 375mm (14.8") wide — for an all-over traction feel under the front foot and chest, which is what wax normally does. Where a tail pad grips one foot for turns, this one replaces waxing the deck: paddle, pop up and trim without rewaxing. White.

How it is used

Laid across the front deck where the wax would go, from roughly the middle of the board forward. Clean and dry the deck, line the pad up before peeling, then press it down firmly and leave it before surfing. It suits anyone who would rather not rewax, and it works with a separate tail pad behind it.
