The Nobel stamp is the tell that whoever drew this cared more about the vibe than the citation: NOBEL PRIZE 1922 sits beside a big yellow E=mc², but Einstein's Nobel — the 1921 physics prize, presented in 1922 — was awarded for the photoelectric effect, because the committee still considered relativity too controversial to endorse. Wrong equation, right energy. The design itself is pure 90s bootleg grammar: two portraits — young mustache, elder halo of hair — floating in an airbrushed cosmos, the name in huge purple letters, the same layout unauthorized printers used for rappers and dead film stars. Einstein is the celebrity-print lane's oddest fixture, a physicist merchandised like a rock star, and most of it is technically unlicensed — his likeness rights passed to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which polices them to this day. Vintage Einstein tees are a real market: 80s and 90s E=mc² designs list between roughly $80 and $112.
