805 is set into both back hips β Fly's style number for this pant, which it sold as an 805 pant and jersey set. The rest is restraint by motocross standards: navy and black throughout, a grey FLY on each thigh, KEVLAR printed small above the knee where the abrasion actually happens, black knee panels, and a moulded FLY RACING oval on the back of the waistband. Fly came late and from an unlikely direction. Western Power Sports, the Boise distributor Ray Brandt founded in 1960 after hauling snowmobiles back from Minnesota, launched Fly Racing in 1998 with handlebars and helmets; the riding gear followed at the turn of the 2000s. Two decades on, the distributor's house label was a Supercross title sponsor. A pant like this is what the climb looked like β Kevlar in the right places and no graphic that needs explaining.
Vintage FLY Racing motocross pants in navy and black. Grey FLY logos on the thighs, black knee panels, the FLY F-wing at the waist and on the back yoke.
