The oldest thing on these pants is the fox head sitting inside the O of FOX. Bob Baptiste drew that head in 1975 on a $300 commission; the version where it becomes the letter arrived in 1982, and it has outlived every graphic printed around it since. Here it runs in yellow on both thighs and again on the knee badges, with FOX RACING INC. down the outer legs, honeycomb-embossed navy panels, yellow ribbed grip up the inner thigh, a yellow ratchet buckle and cyan cuffs β blue and yellow being a factory colourway before it was ever a retail one. The architecture underneath dates to 1993, when Fox introduced the 360 racepant with a Flycam waist buckle and 360-degree stretch through the knee. That name still sits at the top of the line, on the riders Fox pays. Everything around it β panels, colours, badges β has been redrawn a hundred times.
