A pair of performance twins with a balanced base-to-height ratio and flat inside foils. The name is the proportion: base and depth are close to even, rather than the long-base, shallow-depth shape of a keel.
How that reads
Even proportions put the fin between the two twin extremes. There is enough base to drive down the line and enough depth to hold when the face steepens, so the set neither tracks like a keel nor washes out like a small upright twin. Flat inside foils keep it conventional and predictable — lift where you expect it, and no surprises when you commit to a rail.
Who it suits
Performance twin boards with Futures boxes, and riders who want one set that works across a range of waves rather than a specialist for trim or for pivot. A sensible first twin as well as a good default for someone who already owns keels.

The near-equal base and height ratio shortens the long, drawn-out feel of a true keel and puts the drive into a more compact footprint, and the flat inside foil keeps the set fast without making it twitchy.
Our take
Run the 5x5 on a fish or twin you want to surf aggressively, especially shorter swallow-tail shapes where a full keel feels glued down. If your board is a longer, flatter fish and you want classic drawn-out keel trim, the Gephart 70/30 Keels are the better call.
