7’0” Lifter by Jive Surfcraft. A performance mid-length with the wide point set back, a winged thumb tail, and a nose that pulls in quickly—designed for speed and committed rail surfing.
Design Details
Exceptionally flat rocker for speed and glide. Very sharp, thin rails throughout. The bottom contour starts with a subtle single concave in the nose, transitions into a triplane hull through the middle, then finishes with three tight channels running toward the tail. Available in twin, twinzer, or quad setups—Jacob Ells prefers the twinzer for combining speed with bite and drive through turns.
How It Rides
Surf off the center for speed and glide, or move to the tail for ripping turns. The Lifter is a lively board that allows for performance mid-length surfing with plenty of flow and trim on tap. The channels and triplane hull generate speed that most mid-lengths can’t match.
The Shaper
Hand-shaped by Jacob Ells in Ojai, California. Ells came to surfboard shaping from snowboarding and laser engineering—a background he considers a creative advantage. His boards are known for avant-garde outlines, intricate airbrushed symmetry, and unconventional foam distributions. Every Jive board gets hand-laminated fiberglass and a sanded gloss finish.
