Chapter 4 is the one where the John Wick series finished becoming what it had threatened to be all along — an action cathedral, complete with a dawn duel before Sacré-Cœur — and it out-earned every previous entry doing it. This shirt states its film plainly: JOHN WICK CHAPTER 4 in the title treatment, Keanu Reeves's face filling the front, and on the back a collage in the grammar 90s rap bootlegs invented — the Eiffel Tower, the muscle car, three Wicks against neon blur. A modern print borrowing an old format, and borrowing it well; the multi-panel collage tee was built for exactly this kind of mythology. The franchise itself is a stunt-performer's revenge story: Chad Stahelski, who directed all four films, was Keanu Reeves's stunt double on The Matrix, and the series is what happens when the people who take the falls finally aim the camera at their own craft. The suit stays on.
