The Fin
Ryan Lovelace's twin — narrow-based, upright through the middle and hooked at the tip, for the loose end of the modern twin range.
Solid fiberglass, Futures compatible, in royal blue and smoke. This is Lovelace's newest take on a modern performance twin: a small, narrow template by twin standards, with an upright mid-section and a healthy amount of hook through the tip. Narrow base and upright profile are what make it zippy, springy and responsive rather than driving; the hook is what keeps a foundation of power underneath, so the looseness is not bought at the cost of everything else.
How that reads
A narrow base gives less drive off the bottom than a keel or a wide-based twin, and an upright profile puts the area under the board instead of behind it. Together that is the skatey end of the twin range: quick to change direction, happy to slide the tail, short in the turn. The hook at the tip is what stops it feeling empty — it catches at the end of the arc and springs the board back out of it.
Who it suits
Modern fish and narrower-tailed performance twins in small to head-high surf, ridden by lighter surfers or by anyone comfortable with a loose tail and tail slides. If a board needs more stability or more drive than that, a wider-based twin template will supply it.

Run it on a fish or hybrid twin when you want keel-style speed with a looser, more pivoty tail; it keeps a small-wave fish quick and playful rather than locked down. If you want more bite and a more connected carve, the Twinzer adds canards to this same family of feel.
