A barbarian with burning eyes whips a winged demon back into a bonfire of skulls, severed heads swinging from his fist, a fallen crown lying in the bone-pile at his feet — and the skulls don't stop at the seams, they run off the torso and up both sleeves. The design turns up in collector listings as the "Demon's Whip" print, named for the track on The Triumph of Steel, Manowar's 1992 album, and it is paperback-fantasy painting in the full Frazetta school, worn as a garment. No band committed to this mode harder than Manowar: oiled barbarians, oaths of steel, a once-held Guinness record for the loudest performance on earth — a band that decided metal was sword-and-sorcery literature and never once broke character. That's what makes the shirt work. Every other act put its logo over the art; this one barely bothers with a logo at all, because if you know, you know, and if you don't, the whip and the demon weren't for you.
