The SFB Jungle 8" Leather is the Special Field Boot made for hot, wet ground: leather and breathable canvas to an 8" collar, drainage ports on the inner side that double as vents so the boot dries fast, and a Kevlar-reinforced midsole against punctures. The outsole runs sticky rubber at the forefoot and hard rubber at the heel on an aggressive tread. AR 670-1 compliant, so it is authorised with the OCP uniform. Coyote, in sizes 9 and 11.5.
Protection
A Kevlar-reinforced midsole sits between the outsole and the foot against punctures, and the boot carries AR 670-1 and AFI 36-2903 compliance — a uniform-authorisation standard rather than an impact or safety-toe rating. Nike lists no ankle armour or protective toe cap beyond the reinforced construction.
Fit
An 8" collar with simplified lacing on grommet hooks, which is quicker to pull tight than a full eyelet run. The cushioned midsole is a drop-in and removable, so the insole can be swapped for an orthotic. Two sizes are listed here: 9 and 11.5.
