Four of the five nights Pink Floyd taped for Delicate Sound of Thunder are listed on the back of this shirt. The Uniondale block — August 19, 20, 21, 22 — is the Nassau Coliseum stand (it ran one night further) that became the live album and concert film released that November; above it sit Cleveland's three August nights and Detroit's two, all from the summer-1988 North American lap of the Momentary Lapse of Reason world tour, David Gilmour's two-year demonstration that Pink Floyd could exist without Roger Waters. The front sells the show, not the record: the lighting rig mid-barrage, lasers crosshatching the dark over silhouetted crowds, PINK FLOYD in tall red serifs, and a © 1987 line printed small at the border. The back logo is the tour's ringed planet with a jet crossing it. Dated-cities tour shirts are the collectible unit of 80s arena rock, and 1988 Momentary Lapse tour tees are listed from roughly $75 up at vintage dealers.
