The Details
Pop-up headlights, not one straight line on the body, and an engine that spins instead of pounds: the third-generation RX-7 is the car JDM romantics reach for when they want to argue the 90s were the peak. The FD ran from 1992 to 2002 with a sequential twin-turbo 13B rotary — Mazda being the only company stubborn enough to keep mass-producing Wankel engines — and its shape has aged into consensus beauty. This tee is from the spec-sheet genre: a red FD photo-printed under big block letters, a paragraph of encyclopedia copy about the model line beneath it, and on the back a full blueprint treatment — front, rear, and side elevations with dimension arrows — around a second photo and "MAZDA RX7" in brush-style lettering. The paragraph reads like it was lifted straight from the car's Wikipedia entry, which tells you this print is a fan-era artifact rather than a factory one — a shrine to the car, stats and all.
