The Fin
Ryan Burch's asymmetrical three-fin set cut for a regular stance: a twin fin on the toe side, two paddle-style fins on the heel side.
Three fins in solid fiberglass with a raw finish, on Futures bases, in smoke. The toe-side fin is the Burch Twin, 4.97" on a 5.32" base. The heel side takes two smaller fins, 4.19" and 3.54", drawn from Burch's paddle concept — itself out of George Greenough's paddle fins and Daniel "Tomo" Thompson's fin experimentation. All three are flat on the inside face, and the set is arranged for a regular-footer, with the paddle fins on the heel rail.
How that reads
Each rail gets the fin it needs instead of a mirrored one. Off the bottom frontside, the single toe-side twin is drivey, quick and full of power; on the heel side the two stubby paddle fins, with their cutaway trailing edges, open up in transition and on rail, so that turn comes out responsive, buttery and loose. The aim is to keep both rails engaged and every transition balanced against the other.
Who it suits
Regular-footers on asymmetrical boards with a three-plug Futures layout cut for that stance. Surfers who already know why they want an asym, since the set only makes sense under a board drawn asymmetrically. Goofy-footers want the Goofy version of the same set.

The frontside will feel drivey, quick, and full of power, while the heel side will feel responsive, buttery, smooth, and loose.
Our take
This is the set for a regular-footer on a dedicated asymmetrical board who wants the frontside powerful and the backside free — it shines on punchy beachbreak and steeper walls where forehand and backhand demand different things. Goofy-footers need the Goofy version, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish you should run the Burch Twin instead.

The Ryan Burch Asymmetrical Regular is a 1+2 asymmetrical fin set for regular-foot asymmetrical boards, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases. The toe-side fin is taken from the Burch Twin template, while the heel-side fins use Burch's paddle concept, inspired by Greenough's paddle fins and Tomo's fin experimentation, with a stubby outline and cutaway trailing edge.
