No-Face towers over the whole front of this one, tall as the logotype, Chihiro small in her bathhouse work clothes at his feet — a fan artist's inversion of the film's actual scale, and honest about what memory keeps big. Around them the print stacks the inventory: Haku winding through in dragon form, soot sprites underfoot with their star-shaped konpeito candies, Boh as a mouse riding the margins under his bird. The film needs no reintroduction — Miyazaki's 2001 masterpiece took the Best Animated Feature Oscar and sat on top of Japan's all-time box office for nearly two decades — but this is no studio artifact: the drawing is a rounded fan-collage hand Ghibli never used, and the back gives the game away, its SPIRITED AWAY logotype printed in perfect mirror image, legible only in a bathhouse mirror. Somewhere between error and homage, and on this property, of all properties, backwards dream-logic text may be the most fitting credential a bootleg could carry.
