Axl Rose sang Queen songs at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert — Wembley, April 1992 — wearing this exact provocation: Christ in his crown of thorns, blood-spattered, with KILL YOUR IDOLS stamped across his chest. Idol-killing, worn to a canonization. The graphic belongs to Terror Worldwide, the late-80s label whose globe trademark fills the back of this shirt; Defunkd archives an original as 1987, and dealers lean on "as worn by Axl Rose" because the Wembley photos made the design permanently famous. Now the honest part, read straight off this garment: the print carries a © TERROR line, and the neck tag says "saint" with a red cross for an i — a modern label. This is a contemporary rendering of the design, vintage-washed, and it should be read as homage, not artifact. There's something fitting in that: a shirt that commands you to kill your idols became an idol itself, endlessly resurrected — the argument loses to the merchandise every time.
