The front carries the True Ames fin outline and name embroidered in white - the shop hat from the maker behind most of the fins on this site, rather than a generic surf trucker with a logo dropped onto it. The mesh back is the working part: it moves air on a hot day in a way a full-fabric five-panel does not.

Fit and sizing

One size, set by the snap closure at the back rather than by a fitted band, so it adjusts across a range of head sizes. The front panels are structured and hold their shape; the curved brim comes pre-bent.
