The Power Trailer Tri is a thruster set with George Greenough’s PT-1 in the back — two solid-glass side fins and a trailer that flexes and twists instead of just sitting there.
True Ames paired their thruster-template side fins with the PT-1, the Greenough Power Trailer they also sell on its own. The result is a tri set that holds and projects off the sides while the rear gives the loose, free, energised feeling a good trailer adds.
The PT-1 is taller than a normal trailer (4.75" on a 2.70" base) and built from a unidirectional epoxy laminate pressed under heat, which gives it the stiff leg and flexing “paddle” of Greenough’s other designs. Loaded through a turn it stores energy and springs back; unweighted, it lets the tail go.
A shortboard or hybrid you already ride as a thruster and want livelier off the tail — or a rider who liked the Power Blade or Power Glide as a single fin and wants that twist in a three-fin set.
Want the PT-1 behind a twin instead? The Power Trailer + Twin-Fin Set. Want the trailer alone for a set you already own? The PT-1 (Greenough Power Trailer).
