A trailer is the small fin that turns a twin into a 2+1 — or adds a little tail hold to a single. It is not there to steer; it is there to stop the tail sliding out further than you asked.

Yoshikawa's template is low and long-based — the least intrusive trailer we stock, for when a twin needs the smallest possible amount of extra hold.
Specifications
A small, low trailer template designed to sit behind a twin pair — dropping it into the trailer box adds a third point of contact at the centerline, firming up the tail without turning the board into a thruster.
Buy it if you ride a twin with a trailer box and the tail lets go in punchier surf: you keep most of the twin's drift and speed but gain hold and a pivot point for steeper drops and harder turns. This is not a standalone fin — if you don't have a trailer box or want a true three-fin setup, it's the wrong tool.
The Tappy Trailer is a small center trailer fin designed by Takuya "Tappy" Yoshikawa, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with a Futures-compatible base. It is a small, low template in the nubster style, made to run in a trailer box behind a twin set, and was built specifically to pair with the Tappy Twin.
