The Fin
Jordan Brazie’s Valaric canards, FCS compatible solid fiberglass in black — the lead fins for the Valaric twinzer, sold as a pair.
A twinzer runs four fins, but not as a quad: each main fin gets a small canard set just ahead of and outside it. The canard sheds a vortex over the main fin, which lets the main fin hold at a steeper angle than it otherwise would. Canards are sold as a pair; the rear fins come separately or in the twinzer sets.

Brazie draws these small and close in, so a set behaves like a twin most of the time and only shows the canards’ hold when the face steepens. Three cant angles: 0° for the least influence, 4° as the usual choice, 9° when you want the canard working hardest.

The flat inside foil and small area add control and lift without dragging like a full side bite -- the looseness and feel of a two-fin setup with the maneuverability a plain twin can lack.
Our take
Buy these only for a Twinzer board, ideally paired with the Libra Twin they were designed around, and start at the middle angle setting before tuning. If you don't have canard boxes, or you want a complete matched four-fin set out of the box, these are the wrong purchase.
More About This Fin
The Valaric Canards are the small front fins from Jordan Brazie's Valaric Twinzer system, foiled by True Ames in FCS-compatible, single-tab solid fiberglass. They run a flat inside foil with selectable 0, 4, and 9 degree angle options and mount forward of and outside a rear twin. Brazie designed them to expand on the Libra Twin, the rear hybrid twin from the same collection; they are not standalone fins.
