The Fin
A high-rake twin paired with a substantial centre trailer β a three-fin set that keeps a twin's speed and puts hold back under the tail.
Three fins, Futures compatible, in black or honey solid fiberglass. The twins are high rake and supply what twins supply: speed, drive, a tail that comes round without arguing about it. The trailer is not a token nub behind them β it carries enough size to put real hold back under the tail, so the board stays predictable once the wave stands up and a twin on its own would be sliding. The set sits between the freedom of a twin and the confidence of a thruster.
How that reads
A twin lets go early because there is nothing behind the two fins to stop it. Add a centre fin with some area and the release still arrives, but later and on your terms: the tail holds through the steep part of the turn and breaks at the top rather than halfway up. The speed does not disappear, because twins generate it out at the rail and the trailer sits where it is not in the way.
Who it suits
Twin riders who want the board to hold in steeper surf without going back to a thruster, and thruster riders curious about a twin but unwilling to give up a tail they can trust. Boards with three plugs and a twin outline, in anything from soft down-the-line waves to surf with proper push behind it.
