The Details
Half the face is Eddie Brock — red hair, clenched jaw — and half is already the symbiote closing over him: the front of this shirt freezes the transformation mid-swallow, tongue lashing out beneath the VENOM logo. The back completes it, Venom full-figure in a wall of flame over the words VENOM RETURNS. That title is a real address: Venom's return ran through Amazing Spider-Man #330–333 in 1990, the arc where Erik Larsen took over the art and gave the character the look every later artist inherited — the long reptilian tongue and the drool. The transformation image was the horror hook that separated Venom from every other Spider-Man villain: Brock isn't wearing a costume, he's being answered by one. Comic-art tees from Marvel's early-90s boom are a collected lane of their own, and this design circulates in both vintage and modern printings — one more reason the story here belongs to the art rather than to any particular shirt.
