The Speed Fin is Wild Things Gallery's all-round single-fin template, a classic outline carrying a modern flex pattern, drawn for speed and drive rather than pivot alone. At 10" there is real height in the water, and height is what buys hold — enough of it to put a long board on a rail and keep it there while the turn plays out, instead of feeling the tail step sideways halfway through.

How that reads

A tall single fin keeps the tail down and the board tracking, which is what makes trimming a long board feel like nothing at all and what stops it sliding when a wall stands up in front of it. The classic outline leaves the pivot a single fin is supposed to have; the flex pattern is the modern part, loading through the turn and giving it back as the board comes out. Drive out of an arc, not only through it.

Who it suits

Longboards and single-fin boards with the length to carry 10" of fin — logs, noseriders, anything meant to be locked in and trimming. Less the choice if a loose tail is the goal: this much height is there to hold, and hold is what it does.
