Wild Things is a Byron Bay surf hardware brand born in a Sydney warehouse, now home to some of Australia's most creative free-surfers. Their fin team includes Chippa Wilson, Dion Agius, Creed McTaggart, and Jaleesa Vincent β all trading templates and testing ideas to create fins that actually perform.
What started as a showroom for Gato HerΓ³i has grown into a full operation: 40-60 alternative boards in stock, Australian distribution for Gato HerΓ³i, CREME, Octopus, and True Ames, plus their own signature fin range with templates from Kai Ellice-Flint and the Fitzys.
We carry Wild Things fins and surf shorts at Pemulis Water & Power in San Francisco β and ship worldwide.

Single Fins

Speed Fin
The workhorse. A versatile template built for critical surfing with a balance of drive, hold, and release. Works on everything from logs to midlengths. Available in 8.5", 9.5", and 10" β size up for noseriding, size down for more pivot.

High Aspect Fin 10.5"
Designed for power and speed in larger surf. The high aspect ratio generates drive down the line while maintaining control through critical sections. For experienced longboarders who want to push their equipment.

Fitz Volan Fin 7.25"
Part of the Fitz signature range. A smaller single fin template perfect for midlengths or as a center fin in a 2+1 setup. Pairs naturally with the Fitz Side Bites for added hold and drive.
Twin Fins

Volan Keel Twin Fins 4.8"
Classic fish fins. More surface area and longer base than upright twins β gives you greater stability and a smooth, flowing ride. Built for traditional fish shapes and retro hulls.

Hybrid Twin Fins 5.3"
The best of both worlds. Merges the drive of a keel with the looseness of an upright twin. More responsive than a traditional keel but more stable than a performance twin. Great for modern fish and hybrid shapes.

Pivot Twin Fins 5.8"
Performance-oriented twin for surfers who want to throw the tail. More upright template with reduced base gives you quick release and tight pocket surfing. For modern twins, wider tailed shortboards, and anything you want to skate around on.

Fitz Twin+ Fins 5.1"
Kye Fitzgerald's signature template. Designed with a cutaway for added release while maintaining the drive of a fuller base. Works as twins or add the trailer for a 2+1 setup.

Scorpion 5.5" Passionfruit Bubble
A mid-sized twin with a fuller template for smooth rail-to-rail flow. The "bubble" refers to the rounded outline β less aggressive than an upright twin, more maneuverable than a keel.
Thrusters

Chippa Drift Grey Thruster
Developed with Chippa Wilson. A well-balanced template that Chippa uses as his go-to for every session. Medium-sized fins with solid drive and predictable release β not flashy, just reliable performance in all conditions.
Side Bites

Fitz Side Bites
Larger side fins developed by Kye Fitzgerald for increased hold and drive on short to midlength single fins. Available in 3.66" and 4.33" β go smaller for a looser feel, bigger for more control in powerful surf.
Why Wild Things?
Designed by surfers who actually ride them: The fin team (Chippa, Dion, Creed, Jaleesa) aren't just sponsored athletes β they're actively developing templates and trading fins to dial in what works.
Volan fiberglass construction: Classic flex patterns and durability. These fins are built to last and look good doing it.
Connected to Gato HerΓ³i: Wild Things started as the Gato showroom β they know alternative boards and build fins specifically for that world.
Made in Australia: Designed in Byron Bay, for surfers everywhere.
