Mini Trailer は True Ames が作るセンターフィンの中で最も小さいものです。クアッドの五本目として、あるいはスラスターのごく小さなセンターとして使えます。
ソリッドファイバーグラス製、スモークとクリア。ほとんど存在を感じさせないことを狙ったトレーラーで、極薄のフォイルが抵抗を最小限に抑えつつ、ツインやクアッド、パフォーマンススラスターのクラスターの後ろで、ボードの後方にわずかな安定とコントロールを与えます。トライフィンのセッティングで小さなセンターとして使うと、その大きさからは想像できないほどボードの感触が変わります。
乗り味について
ボード後方のセンターフィンはテールをラインに保つ役割で、どれだけ保つかは面積次第です。このフィンのように面積をほぼ削り取ると、センターフィンなしで走るのに近いリリースが得られながら、それに付きまとう曖昧な滑り感は出ません。ファイブフィンのボードではクアッドとファイブフィンの中間の設定になり、スラスターのリアボックスではテールから錨を外すように働きます。他のトレーラーと同じようにリアボックスに収まるので、セットの他の部分に手を付けずに、フルサイズのものと入れ替えて試せます。
こんな方に
五つ目のボックスがあるクアッド、センターボックスのあるツイン、そしてテールのロックを外したいスラスターに。トレーラーにリリースではなくホールドを求めるなら、2.5" と 3.3" のトレーラーが一段ずつ上のサイズになります。

Reach for this when a twin or quad feels loose and skatey in steeper waves and you want to calm the tail without turning the board into a thruster — it's fine-tuning, a dial rather than a switch. If you want a more pronounced hit of center-fin hold and drive, the taller Stussy Hitch Hiker trailer is the move.
このフィンについて
The True Ames Mini Trailer is a small center fin built to sit behind a quad as a fifth fin or in the center box of a twin as a stabilizer. The foil section is ultra-thin to keep drag low and the area is deliberately small. This is the Futures version in solid E-glass, and its single-tab mount allows the fin to be slid forward for a freer feel or back for slightly more drive.
