The Fin
Ryan Lovelace's asymmetrical set for regular-foot asym boards — a small keel on the toe side, a quad arrangement on the heel side.
Solid fiberglass, Futures compatible, in smoke, clear and kelp. An asymmetrical board has a different outline and rail length on each side, and it wants different fins on each side to match: here that is one small keel on the toe-side rail and a two-fin quad setup on the heel side. Lovelace drew this as the friendly, well-rounded version of the idea rather than a specialist set. The sides are handed, so this is the regular-foot version and not interchangeable with the goofy-foot one.
How that reads
The toe side gets the keel, and a keel is base: drive and projection down the line, with enough outline left forward to still pivot vertically off the bottom rather than only arcing. The heel side gets two fins, and that is where the cutbacks come from — a quad arrangement releases and re-engages cleanly, so a redirection carries speed through instead of stalling. The board turns differently in each direction by design, matched to how the feet stand on it.
Who it suits
Asymmetrical boards shaped for a regular-footed surfer, with the box layout to suit. It is the balanced, well-rounded set rather than a specialised one, which makes it as good a first asym set as it is a considered second one for a board whose owner already knows what they want from each rail.

The result is one system that is planted on the rail you drive off and loose on the rail you carve, with a forehand driving off a single pivot and a backhand that releases through the carve.
Our take
Mount this on a regular-foot asymmetrical board cut for a keel-and-quad layout with Futures boxes; on the right board it vanishes underfoot and simply does the correct thing on each turn. Goofy-footers need the Goofy version, and riders on standard twins or singles should skip the asym layout entirely.
