Mafia Discover Pack

Twenty litres at three quarters of a pound, on the outline of an old mountaineering pack. The everyday one: laptop, layers, lunch, and enough left over for the shopping on the way home.

The weight is the point. A conventional pack this size starts from cloth four to eight times heavier than sailcloth, and you notice that at the end of the day rather than at the start.

Cut from retired sails in the USA and covered by MAFIA’s lifetime repair warranty. Sail panels are ripstop, so a puncture stays a puncture rather than running — and the seams, which is where a bag like this eventually goes, are what the warranty is for. No two are cut from the same sail. What ripstop actually is, and why the sail was retired while it was still strong.
