It is a trailer meant to be barely there: an ultra-thin foil that keeps drag to a minimum while giving the back of the board a little stability and control behind twins, quads or a performance thruster cluster. Used as a small centre in a tri-fin setup it changes how a board feels out of proportion to its size.
How that reads
A centre fin at the back of the board holds the tail in line, and how much it holds depends on area. Take nearly all the area out, as this does, and you get most of the release of running no centre fin at all without the vague, sliding feeling that comes with it. In a five-fin board it is the setting between a quad and a five-fin; in a thruster's rear box it takes the anchor out of the tail. It sits in the rear box like any other trailer, so it can be swapped in and out against a full-size one without touching the rest of the set.
Who it suits
Quads with a fifth box, twins with a centre box, and thrusters you want unlocked off the tail. If you want the trailer to register as hold rather than release, the 2.5" and 3.3" trailers are the two steps up.

The True Ames Mini Trailer is a small center fin built to sit behind a quad as a fifth fin or in the center box of a twin as a stabilizer. The foil section is ultra-thin to keep drag low and the area is deliberately small. This is the Futures version in solid E-glass, and its single-tab mount allows the fin to be slid forward for a freer feel or back for slightly more drive.
