The Fin
The Mini Trailer is the smallest centre fin True Ames make — a fifth fin for a quad, or a very small centre in a thruster.
Solid fiberglass, in smoke or clear. It is a trailer meant to be barely there: an ultra-thin foil that keeps drag to a minimum while giving the back of the board a little stability and control behind twins, quads or a performance thruster cluster. Used as a small centre in a tri-fin setup it changes how a board feels out of proportion to its size.
How that reads
A centre fin at the back of the board holds the tail in line, and how much it holds depends on area. Take nearly all the area out, as this does, and you get most of the release of running no centre fin at all without the vague, sliding feeling that comes with it. In a five-fin board it is the setting between a quad and a five-fin; in a thruster's rear box it takes the anchor out of the tail. The FCS base has one tab rather than two, so it can sit in the front or the rear slot — forward for more pivot, back for more drive.
Who it suits
Quads with a fifth box, twins with a centre box, and thrusters you want unlocked off the tail. If you want the trailer to register as hold rather than release, the 2.5" and 3.3" trailers are the two steps up.

More About This Fin
A small nubster-style center fin from True Ames in solid E-glass with an FCS-compatible single-tab base, sold as a single fin. The foil is ultra-thin to minimize drag, and the single-tab mount can be positioned forward for a looser feel or back for more drive and hold. It is used as a fifth fin behind a quad or as a center stabilizer in a performance twin.
