Born and raised in Hermosa Beach during the ‘Golden Era’ of South Bay surfboard building, Wayne learned how to shape by some of the industry’s greats. The vast surface area holds the tail down so you can walk forward and hang on the nose, while the swept-back profile gives it drive when you set up off the bottom and come through a turn.
This rides like a noserider that actually goes somewhere: park it and walk and the area keeps the nose lifted, lean into the bottom turn and the rake gives you a longer, drawn-out arc instead of a dead stop.
